Having struggled a bit over the last few years to re-configure the older site, I have had the assistance of a great new website designer based here in St Albans called Ralph Bartholomew of St Albans Web Design. www.stalbanswebdesign.com

We have drawn up a wish list and have decided to use a new design template call Divi which will give me a lot more freedom to update and include much more data and notes about the work I am hoping to display.

I do hope you like the new layout and find it easy to navigate to anything particular on the site. There are many new headings that allow you to see specific types of Drawings and Paintings

In May, I joined yet another group of artists in Cornwall for 2 sessions of painting in and around the Newlyn area. We had fairly good weather and made the best of outdoor painting and sketching at some my favourite sites. The most ambitious was to paint directly on large sheets of paper directly on the sandy beach at Sennen Cove. Working at a scale of 2mt x 1.5mt was a new experience for me and the opportunity of mixing in the sand textures and colours was really exciting. The other amazing view was by the coastal path at Botallack overlooking those famous derelict Tin mine engine houses and trying to incorporate them into that dramatic coastline.

Here are two paintings done on site which may give you an idea of the views on those occasions.
