- The painting is an abstract composition primarily about the observation of three trees of different sizes and forms against a simple landscape. The perception is that they all lie on the same flat plain in the picture, and show no depth of field.
- The interest is purely in the pattern and form of the picture, which has been painted with many layers of acrylic paint, allowing for a vibrant texture in the many interesting colours that are present.
