Home for Bees
`Among some of the wilder parts of a local allotment, I found a bee hive that had seen better days and although dilapidated, might still be home to some living bees on the inside.

- An old yellow beehive sits in an abandoned plot on an allotment. Could it still be a home for bees? The painting incorporates the hive amid the dry summer surrounding it. The colours are mostly yellow, which complements the old beehive and gives a warm glow to the picture.
Bands of paint are laid down heavily in a selection of colours, and there is some scraffito applied to the area of long grass where the yellow hive is standing.
