* The painting is an abstract composition primarily derived from an observation of a young tree with a pattern of new green leaves.
* The interest is purely in the pattern and form of the picture, which has been painted with many layers of acrylic paint, allowing a vibrant texture in the painting of the leaves, against a collection of deeper complementary colours present in the background.
