  • As summer progresses the long wild grasses dry and fade and the flowers that grow in between start to show a gentle pattern of soft yellows and bright flower heads. All lit by the bright sun that reflects vivid greens from the bordering trees.

The horizontal bands of light green and white yellows in the foreground have been articulated by quick dashes of colour from wide brush strokes gently diffusing to hazey blue and white towards the tree line. The sharp light green of the foliage is the same tone as the blue sky giving a vibration of colour that suggests the brightness of the day.
