I rarely do commissions, but I had a request that I did not want to refuse as it would benefit the great charity my wife runs here in St Albans. I was asked to offer a painting for auction at the Mayor’s Charity Ball to be held in a local hotel.
If the painting sold, the proceeds would be offered to Home-Start St Albans & District, one of the Mayor’s charities for the year. Sally asked for the cash to go towards the annual running costs and thus benefit several deserving families in the area who were in need of child and family support in hard times. I so glad to say that the painting was bought for the considerable price of £360 by the District Judges and will be hung in the dining room of the local Crown Court.
